Cover letter

Hi, my name is Dennis Gimbergsson. I'm 30 years old and currently living in the southern part of Stockholm, Sweden's capital. I graduated from IT-Gymnasiet in the spring of 2013, where I studied the IT, electricity, and science program.

After that, I continued my studies at Nackademin, focusing on Quality Assurance within software. As part of that education, we had a semester dedicated to internships as QA Testers. I secured an internship at DICE/Electronic Arts in Stockholm, where I worked on the Star Wars Battlefront Companion in collaboration with the Uprise web/app studio in Uppsala. After my internship, I was offered a position as a QA Tester/Analyst. During this time, I gained valuable insights into both game development and Quality Assurance.

Then I moved on and started my time on MyTaste where I started as an Android Developer which I previously only had done on my spare time as a hobby. On MyTaste I was the only Android developer and got to implement several features and take care of the app fom developing, testing and the release process

I then moved on to MyTaste, where I transitioned into Android development, something I had previously pursued as a hobby in my spare time. At MyTaste, I was the sole Android developer, responsible for implementing several features and managing the app’s development, testing, and release process.

After a year at MyTaste, I received an offer from Tradera to join as an Android Developer. At Tradera, I joined their App Team as the only Android developer for the first year, handling development, testing, and the release process. Later, as the Android Team grew, I was involved in migrating the project to Kotlin and Android Compose.

I've always been passionate about software development, programming, and design, and I’ve been developing websites and Android applications since my time at IT-Gymnasiet. Outside of work, I’m interested in computer hardware, video games, ice hockey, attending concerts, and spending time with friends. I’m detail-oriented and always strive to deliver my best in any work situation.

Rating

★★★★☆

CWM Backup Manager is a simple tool that takes a copy of the backup in the secure directory and saves it on the local storage on the phone with just one tap.

This allows you to save the backup locally instead of transferring the backup from the device to the computer and from the computer back to the local storage of the device.
